Experts: Russia takes 3rd place by video surveillance camera number

MOSCOW, Dec 25 (PRIME) -- Russia is on the third place by the number of surveillance cameras after China and the U.S., information and research agency TelecomDaily said on Friday in a study.

“By the total number of surveillance cameras, Russia is on the third place with 13.5 million units, following China with 200 million and the U.S. with 50 million. The top five also include Germany with 5.2 million and Japan with 5 million units,” TelecomDaily said.

The expected revenue on the Russian cloud-based video surveillance market is at 3.5 billion rubles in 2020 and 4.3 billion rubles in 2021. The total Russian market of video surveillance was at 76 billion rubles in 2019.

The cloud-based video surveillance market in the world is one of the most fast-growing segments with the volume of U.S. $1.5 billion in 2019 and an expected $1.8 billion in 2020. The market is seen to rise to $2.7 billion by 2024.
